Vegan Cornbread

I like my cornbread a little sweet and fluffy, but still dense enough to be called real cornbread. This recipe is ( like all my other recipes) a compilation of several I've read about and tried and it's perfect...really.

1 1/2 c. Stone ground yellow corn meal
1 c. Unbleached all purpose flour
3 tbs. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbs. vital wheat gluten
1/4 c. Vegan sugar
